Psychologist - Cate Summers

I have been an Educational Psychologist for 10 years and work for a Local Authority in London. I am particularly interested in children emotional and social development and enjoy working across the age ranges from pre-schoolers through to adolescents. It is a very interesting job and no two cases are ever the same. There are so many variables in a child's life. I believe that it is important to remember that everyone wants the best for their child it is just that some parents/teachers/carers find it harder than others, for a multitude of reasons, to find the best way. I aim to provide independent, impartial advice/support and an overview of how all of the variables may be affecting a child's behaviour, learning, self-esteem, relationships, development and growth. I have three children of my own who are 8,5, and 18 months and I don't get it right alot of the time! So I know how challenging it can be. I try to think that we can all learn together through our mistakes!

Health Visitor - Seonaid Joynson

I have been a registered general nurse for over 25 years, and have worked in cancer care, and school nursing, whilst raising two children (now aged 19 and 15).  For the past 14 years I have worked as a Health Visitor in a variety of settings in London. At present I work in a busy GP practice in West London, with a caseolad of over 500 families. I offer support and advice to families re their babies and childrens' health (physical and emotional) and behaviour.  My involvement starts when  babes are born and ends when they commence primary school. I blieve childrens' lives are hugely enriched by knowing as many of their extended family as possible as this gives them a stronger sense of self.

If you have a specific question aimed at a child or a teenager, just log in to the membership pages and ask our panel. We will have them answered and published for you below.
